Test User: Occupational, Ability & Personality

The course (previously known as 'Level A and B training') will qualify you in both Ability and Personality Testing. Accredited and verified by the BPS, this course will qualify you to use ability tests from all the UK’s main publishers. It is also internationally recognised and aligned with the standards of competence defined by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA).

The programme also includes qualification in the EQ-i 2.0 & EQ 360 emotional intelligence assessments which are popular for selection and development.

Course Programme

E-learning (approximately 10 hours)

An introduction to ability and personality testing including choosing tests, scoring, norms, reliability and validity.

Personality assessment (approximately 15-25 minutes)

We invite you to complete the EQ-i 2.0 emotional intelligence assessment and receive telephone feedback from us. 

Workbook exercises (approximately 4 hours)

This will cover the topics of the e-learning modules and are designed to solidify and test your knowledge, and will be submitted to us for marking.

Live online sessions (2 days)

This provides you with an opportunity to practice the practical aspects of test administration and feedback. It also includes learning about the EQ-i 2.0 emotional intelligence assessment.

Certification Process

There are 8 steps in the certification process from initial registration to becoming qualified.

1.

Registration

When you enrol on the programme, we will provide you with full details of the programme and instructions to access the materials.

3.

TUA test administration & feedback call

 

Join us in a video call (1 hour) to discuss your TUA progress and to complete two live exercises – administering an ability test and providing feedback.

5.

EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 training by webinar

 

Choose between the scheduled public webinar sessions with other delegates (1.5 days) or alternatively take part in a one-to-one webinar session (3 hours).

7.

EQ-i 2.0 practice

 

Administer the EQ-i 2.0 to two volunteers, provide feedback and write two reports.

2.

TUA and TUP e-learning and workbooks

 

Complete the TUA e-learning modules (6 hours) and the TUP e-learning modules (2 hours). Then complete the TUA workbook (2 hours) and the TUP workbook (2 hours) which should be submitted to us for marking.

4.

EQ-i 2.0 & EQ 360 assessment and e-learning

 

Complete the EQ-i 2.0 self-assessment and complete the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 e-learning modules (2 hours). Receive telephone feedback on your results.

6.

EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 exam

 

Complete the online multiple-choice exam (up to 2 hours).

8.

BPS registration

 

Congratulations! You now have eligibility for the BPS Test User qualification and are qualified in the EQ-i 2.0 & EQ 360 assessments.
